The Historic Highlands Home Tour Is Back!
If you haven’t explored this glorious old neighborhood of Altadena/Pasadena, prepare to be enchanted. The Memorial Weekend tour in this Landmark District, long an annual highlight for architecture buffs, is back after a seven-year hiatus. Unlike Bungalow Heaven to the south, houses here are a rich mix of Craftsman, Spanish Revival and other vintage styles. The unescorted walking tour opens five homes on Woodbury and Mar Vista Avenues plus the spectacular French Gothic Westminster Church, celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year. The tour, easily walked in under two hours, benefits neighborhood beautification projects and the local library and schools.
