Six local causes receive John Aaroe Group Community Foundation grants
In the past month, our Foundation awarded grants to six remarkable organizations devoted to helping endangered dogs, giving kids a new creative arts resource, providing equestrian therapy to children, and showing communities how to use recycled materials creatively. We’re proud to be a part of their vital efforts. The Forgotten Dog Foundation Since 2009, this volunteer group has rescued and placed over 1,500 abandoned, abused, stray and shelter dogs in loving forever homes. All become acclimated in private foster homes before adoption. Visit their website The Brittany Foundation Dedicated to rescue, rehabilitation and placement of homeless dogs, which are shown weekly at its Agua Dulce sanctuary. Dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and given medical attention. Those not adopted stay at the sanctuary for life. Visit their website Southern California Children’s Museum Founded by a small, hardworking group of parents who saw a need for quality early childhood education options. The foundation has been running one-day programs in Pasadena, and recently secured a permanent location in the city.
